GDFI acts as a core partner and technical driver for the Alliance of Seven coastal municipalities sharing the northern Leyte Gulf. GDFI facilitated the creation of the A7 Strategic Plan for 2026–2030 to unify regional fisheries management across the seven LGUs.

Partnered directly with local communities to train 28 representatives to systematically track coral reef, seagrass, and mangrove health across the A7 marine protected areas.

Partnered on projects aimed at climate change adaptation and governance. This collaboration directly funded the community-led rehabilitation of 18 hectares of mangroves across Maliwaliw Island, Bungtod, and Balangiga.

Partnered on Project SAGIP-Eastern Samar, an initiative comprising five workstreams focused on ecosystem restoration, inclusive governance, economic empowerment, and strengthening local fisherfolk associations.

Collaborated on capacity-building programs, specifically co-leading the intensive training for the A7 MPA Monitoring Team to improve community-led fisheries management.

Collaborated on data collection and policy analysis regarding Community-Based Forest Management Areas (CBFMAs) and local coastal ecosystems.
